The problem at Colossae was not an open rejection of Jesus. It was the quieter attempt to add philosophy, religious tradition, mystical experiences, spiritual intermediaries, legalism, and self-denial to what He had already accomplished. Paul answers that error by giving us one of the clearest revelations of Christ in all of Scripture. He is the image of the invisible God. All things were created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. The fullness of God dwells in Him, and through His blood shed on the cross, we have been reconciled to God. Colossians does not merely tell us to behave better. It tells us to understand who Christ is, what He has done, and who we have become in Him. We died with Him. We were raised with Him. Our life is now hidden with Christ in God. Therefore, we are told to put to death what belongs to the old nature and put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, forgiveness, and love. I hope this guidebook helps make the structure and message of Colossians easier to see, but more importantly, I hope it leaves us with the conviction Paul intended: Jesus Christ is not one part of the Christian life. He is the center, the substance, the head, and the One in whom we are complete.

#colossians #biblestudy #christianapologetics #scripturestudy #jesuschrist

I used to think Romans was Christianity’s dense legal brief.. important, but mostly written for theologians. He places the pagan, the moralist, and the religious person before the same Judge, silences every defense, and then explains how God can remain perfectly just while justifying the guilty. Romans moves from sin to grace, from Adam to Christ, from slavery to sonship, from Israel’s apparent rejection to the faithfulness of God’s promises.. then it asks the only honest question left: what does a life placed entirely under that mercy look like?

The answer is not vague spirituality. Peter’s concern is not merely that Christians know the truth, but that we grow deeply enough in it to recognize what is false. Faith is meant to mature into virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love..because spiritual stagnation leaves us vulnerable to deception. And Peter is painfully clear that deception will not always come from outside the Church. False teachers will arise from within it, distort Scripture, exploit desire, and make the way of truth itself look corrupt. Against that, Peter does not point believers toward personalities, speculation, or cultural consensus. He points them back to the prophetic Word, the eyewitness testimony of Christ, and Scripture given through men carried along by the Holy Spirit. Then he turns toward the end of the age, where scoffers will mock Christ’s return precisely because the world appears to continue as it always has. Peter’s answer is that God’s apparent delay is not failure..it is mercy. The same God who has intervened in history before will do so again, and the certainty of what is coming should radically shape how we live now. Ultimately, 2 Peter gives us one of the clearest defenses against apostasy: know the Word, know Christ, and keep growing in both. The world may become increasingly unstable, truth increasingly distorted, and Christ’s return increasingly mocked..but Peter’s final instruction remains remarkably simple: grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. #2Peter #BibleStudy #ChristianApologetics #BiblicalProphecy #ControversialChristian

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0819/7963/7974/files/1_62c91cd5-0a1d-48e0-9ff7-1b2b6c8a7ed4.png?v=1788658629
guidebook-27-daniel
Guidebook: [27] Daniel

Daniel is repeatedly called “greatly beloved.” John identifies himself as “the disciple whom Jesus loved.” Both are entrusted with striking visions that describe the same final conflict and the same return of Christ.

Daniel sees beasts rising from the sea, a blasphemous ruler persecuting the saints, books opened in heaven, the dead awakening, and One like the Son of Man coming with the clouds to receive an everlasting kingdom.

John sees beasts rising from the sea, a blasphemous ruler persecuting the saints, books opened in heaven, the dead raised, and Jesus returning to destroy the kingdoms gathered against Him.

Revelation does not introduce an entirely new ending.
