PROPHETIC PROFILE | Babylon

The account of Babel is often reduced to a tower. Scripture spends more time on the people who built it than the structure itself. Their goal wasn’t simply to reach heaven. It was to establish a name for themselves apart from the One who had already given them one.

That ambition becomes a pattern the rest of the Bible never stops tracing. Babel isn’t an isolated event in Genesis. It’s the first chapter of a story that ends only when Babylon finally falls..understanding that changes your understanding when you read it in Scripture..
