James is a book Christians should read often because it keeps you honest to whether you are truly living out your faith. It convicts us to practice what we preach..to be quicker to listen, slower to speak, to give more grace, to be more self-controlled.. it acts like a mirror that pushes you to reflect whether you are actually living accordingly to the faith you profess to others. It’s a favorite book of mine because it constantly calls you higher and never leaves you without conviction for something God is wanting you to work on. It keeps you humble and it’s worth the refresher if it’s been a while. Its a short one but full of wisdom and a powerful reminder to become the person your faith says you are.
